Kariega Private Game Reserve, Safari Lodge, South Africa Kariega is a private game reserve set in 1900 hectares of pristine wilderness high above the spectacular Kariega River Valley, just an hour's flight from Cape Town.
The game reserve is malaria free and incorporates contrasting riverine, bushveld and grassland ecosystems, and hosts more than 30 species of

game including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, a wide variety of antelope, vervet monkeys and more than 200 bird species.
Guests are accommodated in 26 spacious, fully serviced log chalets, all en-suite with private viewing decks. Each lodge is tucked into the bush to ensure complete privacy. Our communal swimming pool, perched on the edge of a ravine, has spectacular views across the reserve.
While guests enjoy superb cuisine in our restaurant and boma, well-equipped kitchens allow for a self-catering option.
Activities include early morning and evening game drives accompanied by qualified rangers, nature walks, canoeing and river cruises.
